This law was put in place to ensure the security of electronic communications in the country.

The regulatory authority for telecommunications in Senegal is the Regulatory Authority for Telecommunications and Posts (ARTP). ARTP is responsible for regulating and overseeing the electronic communications sector, including the provision of telecommunications services, radio frequencies, and telecommunications equipment. ARTP also ensures compliance with the law on electronic communications and can take measures to sanction offenders.

How to Obtain Legal Authorization to Use a Signal Jammer

In Senegal, it is not possible to obtain legal authorization to use a signal jammer. ARTP can take measures to seize and confiscate any equipment or device capable of jamming electronic communications. Offenders risk financial penalties and criminal prosecution.
