Under the law, the competent regulatory bodies in Togo are the Regulatory Authority for Post and Electronic Communications (ARCEP) and the Ministry of Communication, Sports, and Education for Citizenship and Civic Education. ARCEP is responsible for regulating the use of signal jammers and granting the necessary authorizations for their use. The Ministry of Communication, Sports, and Education for Citizenship and Civic Education oversees the enforcement of the regulations.

Authorization Procedures

To obtain permission to use a signal jammer in Togo, applicants must submit a written request to ARCEP, providing the following information:

• The technical specifications of the signal jammer
• The intended duration of use
• The complete contact details of the applicant
